Kitchen Ideas And Planning Advice

Our kitchens are made to measure furniture, manufactured in our workshop, using premium materials and traditional joinery techniques. Each range is a blank canvas, allowing you the flexibility to finish your kitchen exactly how you want it. As a result, no two Harvey Jones kitchens are ever the same.

All of our kitchens are made to order and we can adjust the height, width and depth of any cupboard we build so that it perfectly fits your space. This means we can make the very most of all the available space.

Yes, we design kitchens for rooms of all shapes and sizes. We recommend speaking with a kitchen designer as early as possible when remodelling a small kitchen, as they will be able to make some helpful suggestions about the space you are planning. Many clients speak to us months, sometimes years in advance of their project, and often before they have even engaged with an architect so that we can discuss ideas for their space and bring the benefit of our expertise to the project.

Your initial consultation is free and allows you to gain an understanding of how we work and what you can expect from our talented kitchen designers. Based on your requirements we prepare layouts and a quotation, giving you all the information you need to decide if you wish to proceed. We only take a payment when you are sure you want to commission us to your project.

Our virtual home visit is fully aligned with our showroom design experience and can be booked in exactly the same way as a showroom appointment. We can give you all the information you need to decide whether to commission us to your project. Working with your initial plans, our designers can deliver all the space planning, furniture selection and design specifications you need from the comfort of your home.

A full site survey of the space will be conducted when you commission Harvey Jones.

We have supplied kitchens to many locations outside the UK. A designer will be able to provide you with full details of how we can assist.

Yes. If you are a contractor or developer, please email trade@harveyjones.com with details of your project and we will be in touch promptly.

The initial investment to start your full design journey is 25% of the initial quote, and this is deducted from the overall order.

We appreciate that every client’s project is different and so we can work according to your individual requirements. We can supply all appliances, worktops, sinks, taps and other features, making sure that everything arrives at your home at the same time to ensure a smooth installation. Alternatively, we can work with any existing appliances you would like to retain or supply you with our handmade furniture.

We currently sell Quooker taps by themselves. All other appliances are sold as part of a full kitchen project.

We work with you to curate a fully finished kitchen within our service, guiding you on a selection of paint colours, worktops, handles, backsplashes, cabinetry lighting and appliances.

Each Harvey Jones showroom displays a selection of our ranges. Our showroom pages highlight which ranges are available at each branch. Alternatively, if there is something specific you would like to see, please call us on 020 7407 8885, use our LiveChat facility or email info@harveyjones.com

The lead time from design to installation depends on your specific project. We work from your required installation date and guide you through all the decisions that need to be made and when they need to be made by to achieve your deadline. Once we understand the scope of your project, we can advise a suitable timeline.

We offer an initial consultation which would normally take approximately 1 hour. If you would like to proceed to the next stage, we can then offer a follow up consultation to discuss potential layout, storage ideas and provide an itemised quotation. Both of these consultations are complimentary.

At Harvey Jones, our kitchen designers manage the initial design and work with our expert Installation Managers who will see your kitchen project through to completion. Our showroom team are always on hand to ensure you know who to contact at every stage of your project. You can rest assured all your requirements are covered and are not lost in translation.

We can source work surfaces of any type. The best kitchen counter material for your project depends on; the way you intend to use the surfaces, your budget and your aesthetic preferences. For instance, timber work surfaces are tactile and naturally beautiful, but we don’t recommend that they are used around wet areas. Our designers receive regular training and product briefings, so they are perfectly placed to advise you about suitable options for your kitchen space.

There are no limits on the colours we can offer. One of the main reasons for our popularity is that all of our kitchens can be painted in any shade of colour you choose – giving you complete design freedom. It also means that the furniture can be repainted at any point in the future, should you choose to refresh your colour scheme.

Because we hand paint all of our kitchens in situ, you have the freedom to select your paint colour right up to the point of installation. Your designer will provide you with more detail about this process.

Kitchen Manufacturing

Harvey Jones kitchens are made using traditionally handmade techniques and are built by experienced craftspeople in our workshop. Every cupboard we make is a fully hand-built piece of furniture in its own right – there are no ‘flatpack’ elements. Every kitchen we make uses in-frame construction, which is a tried-and-tested method which prevents the doors from dropping — the most common remedial issue with kitchens.

All of our wood is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Kitchen Installation and Delivery

We offer a comprehensive installation and painting service for our furniture, across the UK.

We have a pool of highly skilled and experienced professionals who we have been working closely with us for many years and in whom we have absolute trust and faith to deliver outstanding results.

This depends in part upon the size and complexity of the kitchen. However, as a guide, installation generally takes between 4-6 days and painting takes 3-5 days. Your designer will be able to advise you more accurately about your individual project.

Our delivery, fitting and painting services are available nationwide. If your project is outside the UK we would be happy to discuss the options available

One of our designers will work with you to arrange a suitable delivery date and your kitchen will be scheduled for production to suit your requirements.

Each of our ranges are available ‘primed for handpainting’, meaning that you can choose any colour for your furniture. In addition, our Shaker Kitchen range is available in both oak and walnut. You might choose to have all of your furniture in one of these beautiful timbers. You can also mix and match timber with our painted furniture — perhaps using timber for the island or base cupboards whilst selecting painted cupboards in the rest of the room. Our designers will be delighted to discuss your ideas and preferences.

All our kitchens are hand painted in situ by professional and experienced kitchen painters.

As our kitchens are hand painted in situ they offer a blank canvas – you have the choice of any number of colours.

We do offer a refurbishment service available to anyone with a Harvey Jones manufactured kitchen. This is another reason why our customers love their Harvey Jones kitchens so much as they have the flexibility to refresh and keep their kitchens up to date with the latest trends. Furthermore, it makes for a great selling point when selling your home as the service can be passed onto the new owner.

Flooring should be in place before the installation of your new kitchen, the only exception being if vinyl flooring is being laid

Kitchen Care After Installation

We offer a 10 year Cabinetry Guarantee when we install and hand paint your kitchen.

We supply every client with information that everything you need to know about the installation of your kitchen, as well as kitchen care and maintenance tips after installation. Our cabinetry can be easily maintained using a damp cloth and a non-abrasive detergent, but some work surfaces require specific care – your designer will advise you on this accordingly.

We have built our business on satisfied clients and recommendations from previous customers, and we take customer service seriously. At the start of your project, we supply you with the names and contact details of all parties that will be involved in your kitchen design and installation to ensure smooth and clear communication. However, if you are not completely satisfied with any aspect of the project please email our Customer Care team at customercare@harveyjones.com
